BECOME A REFEREE

 

ARS Lac St-Louis has nearly 900 affiliated referees who officiate matches from U9 to Senior age categories at Local, A, and AA levels. Many ARS Lac St-Louis referees also officiate AAA games in the LSEQ. Refereeing is an excellent way to see the game from a different perspective all while keeping fit!

Courses are usually held between February and April. Please read the information below for more information on becoming a referee within our region.

 

 

Requirements:

ARS Lac St-Louis is looking for people who are interested in becoming referees for the summer 2018 season.

  • Minimum age of 14 years old
  • Have regular access to email/phone and be self-sufficient in communicating with colleagues and superiors
  • Be able manage a schedule of assignments and respect commitments. This includes entering availabilities
    into an online software application each month
  • Be available to take a district referee course during a weekend (approximately 9am to 5pm on both days)
    before the beginning of the season
  • Experience as a player, coach, or spectator is an asset
  • Physical fitness is an asset

  • Ability to manage pressure
